Design exhibition of "Toyama's pattern"

ーIf I give something of "Toyama" to someone ,

 I'd like to wrap it in such a pattern like this. ー

At D&DEPARTMENT TOYAMA,

from July 2 to August 31,2016 , 10:00 a.m.-19:00.

Admission is free of charge.

富山の宝物がテキスタイルデザインで表現されました。

手がけたのはテキスタイルデザイナーの鈴木マサルさん。

2014年8月の北日本新聞130周年ラッピングがきっかけで始まった

「富山もようプロジェクト」。

デザインモチーフとなったのは

立山連峰、シロエビ、水、ガラスアート、五箇山合掌造り、

海鮮、そして雷鳥。

Treasures of the Toyama were expressed in textile design

by Mr.Masaru Suzuki, textile designer.

Kitanippon newspaper's 130 anniversary wrapping in August 2014

started "Toyama's pattern design project ".

Design motifs are Tateyama Mountain Range, white shrimp, water, 

glass art, Gokayama Gassho mountain, seafood, and Thunderbird. 

D&DEPARTMENT TOYAMAは富山県民会館1階。

富山城址公園の隣にあります。

D&DEPARTMENT TOYAMA is on the first floor

of Toyama-Kenmin Hall beside Toyama Castle Park.

富山のイメージを視覚化。面白い試みです。

It's an interesting attempt to visualize the image of Toyama. 

かつて私が大学の講義で試みた「香りの視覚化」を回想しました。

 recalled the attempt of visualizing aroma once I've tried in the course of an university.
